This week we understood how testimonies are the evidence of true faith. They are the results produced in the lives of people who exercise an active faith in God. It is a type of faith that is only developed through an ever-growing relationship with God. It is a faith that is determined by the intentions of the heart.
It is within this unique relationship that communication is established and instructions are given.
Following God’s instructions always goes beyond personal benefits. They can determine the outcome of a whole world whether good or bad. This is why the development of our relationship with God is vital. Without it, there is no way for us to learn how to trust Him. Not being able to trust makes obedience a hard task. Our Father has a plan for our lives and following His directive is necessary for that plan to be seen.
Everything that God declares will be done. Unlike many human beings, He is faithful to keep and maintain His word. Our job is to trust Him enough to see His faithfulness. There are times when God will ask us to believe things that seem impossible. If we have a worldly perspective those things will not seem logical and cause us to doubt. However, if we live with a spiritual mindset we will hold on to what He says knowing that what seems impossible to us is absolutely possible for Him. We just have to keep our focus on Him and His plans.
When we really begin trusting God, it will cause us to follow His voice instead of our thoughts and feelings. It will make us willing to disregard our concerns, doubts, and worries. When we truly walk by faith, the plans we make will be according to the future He promises, not the circumstances of what is presently taking place. This is how the testimony of God’s ability is birthed and becomes evident in our lives.
When we find ourselves engaged in a real tangible relationship with God, everything we need is made accessible because of His desire to guide us. For that reason, He is always providing signs and confirmation that what He says will be done. In order for us to see the signs and recognize the confirmations, our minds must be focused on the eternal purposes of God.
When we keep our minds stayed on Christ and the Kingdom of God, transformation becomes inevitable.
Transformation begins with our minds. When we can come to understand and believe that our citizenship truly is in heaven. We will stay focused on where we are returning rather than where we are residing temporarily. As we go through trials while here, our faith is proven and the purification of our souls is tested. The authenticity of our transformation is established by faith and whether or not we trust God’s ways and plans over our own. So it is by faith that we obtain a good testimony proving that God’s will is different than ours.
In all, faith is derived from an intimate relationship with God in which we become able to hear from Him what we should believe. Also, faith are the actions we take because of the expectations we have that God will do as He says.
