This week we continued our march down the road of faith. On this road, we’ve already come to know that we must believe that because of love, our Father is willing to overlook any wrong we have ever done if we are willing to confess and turn away from what we’ve been made aware of. We also realized how in return for His goodness towards us we should begin responding to Him in obedience. Also, we’ve come to comprehend that to really follow Him through rough terrain is to develop a faith that knows whatever seems impossible to us is never impossible for Him. If we can come to truly believe that there is nothing that He cannot do it is then that we will trust His directive when speaking to us. Through trust, we’ll be able to receive all that He offers.
For us to believe God on a higher level we must become humble and accept the fact that just because we’re unable to do something doesn’t mean it can’t be done. When it comes to human beings there are things that are just simply impossible, but when it comes to the Creator of the universe there is nothing impossible.
This belief begins with the understanding that there is nothing we can do to make our entrance into God’s kingdom apart from Christ. Neither is there any way for us to break free of the influence of sin and evil without the assistance of our heavenly Father. When we are able to humble ourselves, we are able to begin looking to someone else to do what we can’t do. This is faith that God can do what we consider impossible.
We learned that if we want to further the depth of our faith we must believe that every natural element and occurrence can be completely controlled and altered by God Himself. This means that whatever physical threats oppose us in life, no matter the severity. We can trust God and believe Him for supernatural resolutions.
However on our walk, if we desire to see God do the impossible we must keep our daily thoughts focused on Him and His plans. We have to move and respond to all things in faith without doubt. Not just believing what we want but getting in a place to hear from God and believing what He has said. Doubt will cause us to drift away from God’s will by moving us out of faith and into fear. We remove fear by having faith that God is capable of handling every situation and circumstance we may find ourselves in.
When we are really able to trust God in all things and develop unconditional faith, we will stop being moved by what we see physically and start making decisions based on what God says or shows us instead. This means we cannot rely on how we think because our thoughts can cause doubt or worry. Rather we must become totally dependent on God for even the little things.
Results that are impossible to a world that is completely logical is the manifestation of true faith. When we draw closer to God, God draws closer to us. In that closeness what is assumed to be irrational and inconceivable becomes credible and within reach. As a result, freedom from all that is natural and physical is our portion.
